River Elwy

Beats on this river (Gypsy Lane) The river Elwy has good run of Sea Trout from June onwards with a small run of Salmon & Grilse during August & September. The Gypsy Lane beat is approximately 800 yards of single bank looking downstream, located about 1.5 miles from Rhuddlan off A525 to  St Asaph. Day permits available    

Roe Parc St Asaph from A55 road bridge down river left bank beyond unmade road & bridge to next stile (4 rods only) Llanfair T H. from road bridge to foot bridge beyond the weir. Day permit available. Nant Mawr. 1mile mostly both banks watch for signs. Good Salmon and Sea-trout water with interesting corner pools. Salmon ladder pool, and at Nant-Mawr further upstream from Llanfair T.H. 2 miles.
